tuberoses.

Sometimes, I wonder how complex the simplicity of the human is, just the way they are, just the way they will be.
Just the way they hurt and just the way they love.
Little things they do to show love.
Buying their love flowers and keeping a piece of it when the bunch withers and dies, pressed between the pages of a book.
How you love their smell and how a smile stretches across your face everytime you get a trace.
Hands touching while crossing the road and the heart, oh dear heart, skipping a million beats.
Standing and talking about nothing and everything,
about love and pain, about grief and vain.
Kissing the crinkles by their eyes,
Pressing your ears to their heart while they caress your hair.
Sometimes I wonder how simple the complexity of the human is, just the way they deal with pain and with grief.
Holding their hand, tracing a heart on their palm while they stare into nothingness, their eyes sorrowful and tender.
How they stand, hands crossed, reminiscing about good times that no longer feel good,
While you hold their finger,
How they sit with you, knees touching, as you tell them about the pain you’re in, about how much you’re grieving.
Sometimes, I wonder how beautiful the human is,
How their eyes smile when they look at you,
How you can see the black in them as they hold your hand and touch your cheek.
Sometimes, I wonder how a human can make you feel at home.

things i’ve been loving.

hi, i hope you’re okay.

also, HI, i’m back after a long time, but lets not be too optimistic because we all know i will disappear again ; )

anyway, i have been loving some things lately and i feel like this is a recap for me, mostly.

louis tomlinson.

okay, yes i know, he’s not a thing, but i feel this inevitable desire to add him to the list because I ABSOLUTELY LOVE HIM. he is just so beautiful and talented and everything nice. he is my favorite person. ever. his music feels like home. he feels like home.

iced coffee.

the correct word here is ‘obsessed’. i am obsessed with iced coffee, which is quite bizarre because i absolutely hated coffee until the moment i decided to make myself some iced coffee and here i am. not a day goes by without me having iced coffee.

reading.

i’ve always loved reading. however, i had not read much the past few months, but now i am and i have fallen back in love with it. it is honestly the best thing you can ever do. i’m currently reading the song of achilles and i know its going to break me, but will i read it again, and again. and again? absolutely yes.

baking.

yep, baking. it’s a nice thing to do. ive baked a louis tomlinson inspired cake recently. also i just realized that i can’t really ‘love’ baking as i’ve only done it a meagre number of times, but oh well.

the sky (during sunset).

i don’t think i have to say anything here.

i swear the list was much longer in my head : /

je te laisserai des mots.

This writing has been inspired by the song je te laisserai des mots by Patrick Watson.

I’ll leave you some words,

Wherever you want.

I’ll leave you some words,

Where you sit in front of the window;

So you can read them while staring at the cloudy sky.

I’ll leave you some words,

Between your favorite book;

So you can find my words among the words

That make you feel at home.

I’ll leave you some words,

Where your favorite song stays;

So you can find comfort and warmth and solace

Whenever you need it.

I’ll leave you some words,

Between the petals of your favorite flower;

So even when it withers,

It leaves you words within the husks.

I’ll leave you some words,

When you want to Rush To The Secret House;

So you can remind yourself that you are fearless.

I’ll leave you some words,

Among the statues of the greek gods,

Who fought for love and life,

Who searched for beauty in the pain,

I’ll leave them in our worlds,

I’ll leave you some words.

Apollo.

Hello beautiful people. It’s been a long time since I’ve written something, anything. That was mostly because I had lost my blog. Yes, it was apparently time to say goodbye. My dad said that maybe someone hacked into my account and I mean, who wouldn’t want to destroy and sabotage a blog with fifty readers.

:’ )

Anyway, I recovered my blog! So YAY.

Today, I want to write about something different. It’s basically something that maybe according to you has only one interpretation, but according to me, it has uncountable explications. It’s a very simple word, one that you hear everyday.

ART.

Now, obviously, the word Art makes you think about paintings, and colors, and canvases and definitely of the well-known painters such as Bob Ross, Leonardo da Vinci, and my BFF.

But, here’s the thing – paintings and their makers are not the only concepts under Art. Art is such a diverse word with such a myriad meaning.

What I’m trying to say is that EVERYTHING is Art. Paintings are art. Music is art. Poems are art. Anything that you understand really well or anything that you fail to understand is art. The person you met at the bookshop was art. The love of your life is art. You are art.

And anyone who does anything is an artist.

I believe that this is a very profound topic to think about. It’s something really exciting and colorful and vast. The topic of art is… ART.

Art is endless, just like the universe is. We, humans, have no idea how big the universe is or where it starts and where it ends. That is what exactly Art is. It is infinite, it gives us the opportunity to think, to be creative in our own fields, to be artists within ourselves. It’s almost as if Art is forever.

Everything that we see is just displaying how beautiful the universe is and how everything and everyone will come to an end

except art.

Through art, people will never meet death, they will always be alive and always in the hearts minds of others.

Because, that is what Art is.

It’s beautiful

It’s oblivion

It’s an infinite space stretching across an infinite universe.

Art is the millions of galaxies in the universe. It’s the bright blue sky with fluffy clouds. It’s a gloomy day when the rain is pouring. It’s the crack of dawn, when the bright sun shines on your face. It’s the nightsky like a blanket of twinkling stars.

And just like that, everything is art. A person will always be remembered through art.

The beauty of the world will be remembered, tragic stories like Romeo and Juliet will be remembered, the story of Achilles and Patroclus will be remembered, lovers who write songs about each other will be remembered, you will be remembered.

everything will be remembered

because everything is art

Charlotte.

She sits under the sun

Her hair overrun

Daisies, of colors pink, and red and white

Peeping from her hair, oh what a beautiful sight.

As you hear the church bells chime,

You can see a trail spreading across Charlotte’s cheek, everytime,

A pathway of grime

Across the forlorn visage that is so sublime.

Tell me the truth, Charlotte

Do you see bodies splayed, scarlet

When you close your eyes?

Is that why you let out those little cries?

Charlotte wants the night sky

but is afraid of the dark.

What if she gets lost?

What if she dissipates in the frost?

Charlotte wants the sea

but is afraid of the water.

What if she drowns?

What if she can’t come out?

But Charlotte, do not sob

I know, Charlotte, that your head throbs.

I know that your heart is broken,

I know that your words are yet to be spoken.

But, the night is yet young, Charlotte

Maybe, your day will come.

Maybe, you won’t have to just survive,

Maybe, Charlotte, you’ll make it out alive.

The Most Underrated Creation.

There sure are innumerable creations in the world. While you read this sentence, a hundred other things are being invented, created. So, what is the best creation? Is it the written word, or is it ice cream? I don’t know.

There are a lot of creations and some of them are not appreciated and admired much for their beauty. In simple words, these creations are underrated. Do you have any idea what I’m talking about? What I think the most underrated creation is?

The Sky.

Recently, I noticed just how beautiful the sky is. It is definitely the prettiest thing in the whole wide world. I can spend my entire life looking at that clear, cool blue color with those white patches.

The Sky is not always clear. Sometimes, it can be dark and scary. But, then again, That is life. Somehow, the sky teaches us an important lesson. It tells us to move on from all that is dark and scary and continue brightly. Just how it overcomes the storm at night and is ready to be all beautiful and clear the next morning.

I commend the Creator for creating something so flawless and charming.

Dear Theodore Finch,

Dear Theodore Finch,
No one knows why you took your own life, while some people still think that it was an ‘accident’. You hated tags, you did. You hated the names that were given to the people who were depressed. You tried your best to save yourself, Finch. You went to a support group, but that didn’t help. You took a handful of pills, but you got your stomach pumped. But, when you just couldn’t take it any longer, you gave up.
No one blames you or hates you for giving up, there was nothing that you could do.
Theodore, you fell in love and you made someone fall in love with you. You made Violet feel like the luckiest girl in the world. You and Violet visited all the beautiful, all the bright places. You taught Violet that somethings stay even though some people don’t.
You met Violet on a ledge in school and you left Violet near the Blue Hole, the Blue Hole where you drowned.
When you were missing for a lot of days, everyone did their best to find you. Your mom, you sisters Kate and Decca, Violet, everyone. When Violet finally found you, well not you, at the Blue Hole she first found all your clothes folded very neatly. The keys to Little Bastard, your car, in your shoe. When Violet whispered Marco, I had full faith that you would shout back ‘POLO’, but you didn’t. She went into the water a number of times, trying to find you. But, everytime her breath gave out and she could not go deeper. Deeper where you were. When the police finally brought your body out of the water, it was unrecognizable, Finch. It was blue and swollen. It was your body, but it wasn’t you, you were dead.
The letter that you left for Violet in the church was just as beautiful as you were. The Virginia Woolf quotes that you shared back and forth were my absolute favourite. You made Violet better, you made me better, but you couldn’t save yourself.

“I am rooted, but I flow.”

Theodore Finch is a fictional character from the book All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven.

Some Sayings.

There are always some quotes or sayings that stay with us forever. Some of them are catchy and some of them have a real deep meaning. Some of the quotes that we’ve heard when we were younger are ‘Honesty is the best policy’ or maybe ‘An apple a day keeps the doctor away’.

Here are a few of my favorite quotes that I admire not only because they are catchy or that they have meaning, but because these quotes speak to me.

  1. For this moment, this one moment, we are together. I press you to me. Come pain, feed on me. Bury your fangs in my flesh. Tear me asunder. I sob, I sob. — Virginia Woolf in ‘The Waves’

2. You are all the colors in one, at full brightness. — Jennifer Niven in ‘All the Bright Places’

3. At some point we all look up and realize we are lost in a maze. — John Green in ‘Looking for Alaska’

4. Books are the mirrors of the soul. –Virginia Woolf in ‘Between the Acts’

5. I am rooted, but I flow. All gold, flowing… — Virginia Woolf in ‘The Waves’
